History of our school
S.N. Réalt na Mara celebrated its 60th anniversary on its current site during the academic year 2009/2010. To mark this very specal occassion celebrations took place on the 26th and 27th September 2009.

An exhibtion of school registers, photographs, mementoes and an audio-visual show was held in our school G.P. room. Our Parents' Association kindly provided refreshments at the exhibition. On Saturday evening, Bishop Christopher Jones celebrated Mass in St. Columba's Church to mark the 60th anniversary. Afterwards past pupils got a chance to meet and mingle at a social evening in Co. Sligo Golf Club, Rosses Point. Many past pupils travelled long distances to join in the celebrations and enjoyed visiting the exhibition.We are very grateful to Mr. Aiden Anderson (Board of Management) and Ms. Fiona Hannon for all their all hard work in organising the exhibition.
On Sunday 27th September, the Parents' Assocation held a Family fun day and many families participated in a Treasure Hunt around the village.
